Good Omens is a book written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Prachett, it follows two cosmic entities; an angel and a demon, as they are tasked to monitor humanity and to cause evil or good until the end of the world arrives and they are expected to fight one another. They are not ready to let the world end so instead they try to plan a way to not let the anti christ fulfill his destiny. Good Omens, show of the same name, is based on this book.

I have always loved tales about fantastical beings, it is a shame that I never heard about this book before, but in 2019 when i was bedridden, i couldn’t really keep awake for longer than a few hours, and regardless of whether I was asleep or awake i was in a state of immense pain. I usually would look for anything to put on, and most things I passed out to them. One time, while browsing for something to listen to while I fell asleep, I found this show, and as I read the premise I sort of felt like it would be perfect for me. But I was very surprised to find out how much I ended up loving it!

I really enjoy the way the show discusses morality and how most things are in a gray area and a person cannot be completely good or bad, applied even to supernatural beings. Another thing i love is the romance!!! They’re fun and interesting and they're completely insane about each other. They're not very good at communicating because they have spent countless aeons convinced that it is not right for them to be together, because demons and angels do not get romantic with each other, but they're also convinced that there's no other way they could exist except by being with each other. When earth and humans are created, they are tasked with roaming the planet and monitor humans and "the other side" but instead of causing "good" and "evil" they end up having to help each other because no other demons or angels are stationed on Earth, and end up falling for each other incredibly hard. They are both suffering through religious trauma, in unique different ways, and their dynamic is obviously affected. They have been with each other during the past 6,000 years on Eearth but they have not been allowed to Actually be with each other. All of my special interests i developed long ago when i was a child, and usually if i get new ones i don't really keep them for long but stories about romance and magic have always been my fave, so this is the first special interest i developed in adulthood which is i think really cool.
